Challenges
Put your inventing skills to the test with a Little Inventors challenge!
Participants chose from one of the two themes to help them think up an ingenious invention to protect our planet! The themes were: protect biodiversity and invent a more sustainable future. Every decision we make has an impact on the planet, from what we eat to how we travel. Our Climate Champions used their voices to raise their concerns and solutions and we got adults to listen!
What could be invented to help protect our oceans and water resources? We all know how essential our water resources are and so we asked for your ideas to help keep them healthy, to help the people whose livelihoods come from working in them, and celebrate all the wonderful creatures which live underwater. Well done for taking a deep dive with your imagination!
We asked for invention ideas that would help astronauts in outer space! You accepted the challenge and helped improve how astronauts explore the universe!
We wanted you to design a card game inspired by the Human Cell Atlas, human cells, and tissues. Card games are a great way to learn whilst having fun!
Become an inventing supernova! This activity book is full of ideas to help you come up with new inventions that are out of this world.
This challenge asked you to solve real-life problems via invention. We asked you to think about the problems those living in rural areas face and think up some creative solutions!
You thought up and drew invention ideas to help all wildlife in Alexandra Park, from bats and ducks, to foxes and many insects! During a time of isolation when we were not always able to enjoy our parks as we normally would, we wanted to celebrate the wonders and benefits of our natural world and invited you to help us!
You had the chance to become an ocean scientist and think of inventions to protect and improve the health of our oceans.
Thank you for being part of the solution!
