Carlisle Matters 'Show & Tell'
We joined in the fun with Carlisle Matters for their Show & Tell event!
Carlisle Matters are a registered charity with a member network of twelve community centres and community organisations.
Show & Tell is an event, organised by Carlisle Matters and supported by Cumberland Council, in which activities, amusements, and information are provided to visitors completely free of charge.
Local groups and organisations come together to highlight their positive impact on the surrounding community and provide a load of fun for all the family.
On a bright Sunday in May, Carlisle residents and organisations and entertainers alike flocked to Carlisle's Bitts Park for a bumper day of amusement. The mayor of Carlisle, Abdul Harid, also attended the event.
From bouncy castles to poetry, we added to the activities on offer and took part in this brilliant day by hosting a special Little Inventors workshop.
Based on our Novel Inventions challenge, which provides ten literary invention prompts for bookworm inventors to get stuck into, our workshop had children blending their love of reading with their love of creativity.
They imagined, designed, and prototyped their way to all new characters and universes!
