Dominic at the WRITE Festival
Chief Inventor Dominic Wilcox presented a thoroughly inspiring session at The Word in South Shields.
The Word hosted an audience with Dominic Wilcox as part of the annual WRITE Festival.
For the seventh year running, the Festival provided a program of exciting events across the whole of September. In celebration of the written word in all its forms, it consisted of talks, workshops and performances held at The Word, Cleadon Park, Jarrow Focus and Hebburn Central libraries.
On Wednesday the 6th of September, Dominic shared with attendees his experiences and expressions of creativity. He detailed his creative process and projects, the importance of thinking like a child, and the value of nurturing your imaginative, innate spirit in everyday life.
As well as being the founder of Little Inventors, Dominic has worked between the worlds of art, design, craft and technology for decades. He is the author of multiple books and has made appearances and speeches at cultural and creative events across the world. He created the ethos of Little Inventors which is taking children's ideas seriously and imposing no limits on their imagination.
This session suited any and all people interested in creativity and the written word and was open to all ages.
