Lottie's Workshop at Edinburgh Napier
It's not our first rodeo when it comes to inventing with Edinburgh Napier.
Cardboard artist extraordinaire and workshop facilitator Lottie Smith led the students on an inventing adventure.
Lottie enjoyed a creative and inspirational session with design students from Edinburgh Napier University.
She brought along a load of crafting items so they were not short of a range of materials bursting with possibility.
The workshop began with a presentation all about Little Inventors and the possibilities that cardboard and recycled materials offer when it comes to making.
Then, she provided the attendees with a series of ideas thought up by little inventors and the students got choosing which ideas they wanted to make as a real-life prototype.
The selection included such ingenious gems as The Pet Car Wash, Deforestation Demolisher and The Tea Charger.
It also featured a solar-powered mechanical leg, the students even got crafting to make the leg model functional and moving at the joint!
The students brought their own individual flair and skill to their makes and it was great to see the final models in all of their glory.
We loved bringing some creative magic to the university classroom and encouraging the students to embrace their inner little inventor!
