Powering the Future Creativity Workshop: Cleadon Park Library
During our exciting Powering the Future Creativity Workshops, children used their imagination to create ways to generate renewable energy & learned prototyping techniques to bring inventions to life.
This workshop took place at Cleadon Park Library on July 25th. This library boasts some stunning modern architecture and caters to the surrounding cultural community.
We are well into the second year of the Powering the Future project. During year one, we brought to life eight amazing ideas and held an exhibition at The Word to show all of them off and much more!
The challenge is in partnership with South Tyneside Council and the new, extraordinary Dogger Bank Wind Farm which is being constructed off the North East coast.
The free workshops explored the role and importance of renewable energy and why it is a crucial part of the solution to climate change.
Participating children enjoyed a hands-on session of learning, imagining, and making.
