Powering the Future Creativity Workshop: The Word
During our exciting Powering the Future Creativity Workshops, children will use their imagination to create ways to generate renewable energy & learn prototyping techniques to bring inventions to life.
This workshop is taking place at The Word on July 31st. This gem of a venue provides many educational sessions and events for local lovers of all things books and culture.
We are well into the second year of the Powering the Future project. During year one, we brought to life eight amazing ideas and held an exhibition at The Word to show all of them off and much more!
The challenge is in partnership with South Tyneside Council and the new, extraordinary Dogger Bank Wind Farm which is being constructed off the North East coast.
The free workshops will explore the role and importance of renewable energy and why it is a crucial part of the solution to climate change.
Participating children will enjoy a hands-on session of learning, imagining, and making.
