Upperby Gala
We were thrilled to be part of the family fun of the Upperby Gala.
Upperby Gala is a free annual even for all the family, organised by Cumberland Council and supported by Friends of Hammond’s Pond Group.
Visitors are treated to a wide variety of performances and activities like a fun fair, an owl magic display, archers and balloon modelling, along with lots of sweet treats and delicious local food offerings along the way of course.
On the impressive roster of entertainers and performers this year were the likes of the Lazy River Jazz Band, the Tanzanian Acrobats, Razzamataz, and Drum Nation.
Our workshop was centred on our Novel Inventions challenge. This challenge consists of ten literary invention prompts for bookworm inventors to get stuck into.
We provided food for thought and plenty of materials for creative children to get thinking and making!
