Workington Library & Maryport Library Workshops
We held four workshops at two libraries in Cumbria, in collaboration with Cumbria County Council, and encouraged kids to save the planet!
Using Hendrikus Van Hensbergen's wonderful book How You Can Save the Planet (an inspiring guide for young climate activisits) as a springboard for invention, we asked the children to invent something that uses a particularly reliable and renewable greener energy source - wind!
Across the 28th and 29th of November, we held the following sessions:
Ewanrigg Junior School's Year 3 class and Our Lady & St Patrick's Year 5 class joined us at Maryport Library.
St Gregory’s Catholic Primary's Year 5 class and Northside Primary's Years 3, 4, 5, and 6 classes had a blast at Workington Library.
It was a pleasure teaching the children more about the steps we can take to better our planet. Thank you all for taking part!
