Skills:My maker skills are extensive and wide-ranging. I take a mixed media approach to most of my art. Here is a list of some of the things I do: calligraphy, paper cutting (scherenschnitte and kirigami), quilting, embroidery, beading, crochet, painting, photography, collage, art journals, altered books, and installation art.
As an artist, I have developed a practice of experimenting with my own ideas which seem boundless. ‘What if’ is a question I am always asking. Curiosity and research drive me daily. I am enamoured with the texture that can be created with my materials. I am drawn to the limitless modes of expression available in creating with the many mediums I use.
I rarely start out with the end in mind but believe that my research and intuition will yield knowledge at the very least. I am willing to try something new and pushing boundaries gives me much pleasure.
