Little Inventors supports Sunderland 2021 at House of Commons!
Little Inventors is delighted to be supporting Sunderland’s bid to be the UK City of Culture in 2021 at the House of Commons tonight! We will be showcasing a selection of inventions by Sunderland’s most innovative Little Inventors including the Handy High 5, by Oliver, aged 6 and the Superfast Tennis Ball by Kai, aged 10.
Little Inventors was born following a project commissioned by the Cultural Spring in Sunderland which saw our Chief Inventor Dominic Wilcox go back to his hometown and asked 450 children to think up their invention ideas. He then asked local makers and manufacturers to make the best ideas into real things. The results were shown in the INVENTORS! Exhibition in January 2016. It was a huge worldwide success with coverage on CNN International and The Discovery Channel to name just a few.
